Position Vacant – SLS NZ - Club Development Officer (CDO)

Surf Life Saving Northern Region (SLSNR) is seeking a self-motivated, innovative professional to provide direct and practical support to members and clubs. The CDO will support clubs by sharing best practice and ensuring volunteer time is effective and provides solutions to problems identified by clubs. The CDO will also have additional project work in Northern Region that could include, but is not limited to: lifesaving training, sport and event management, support services, and the position will require them to work closely with the key volunteers to coordinate and administer.

The CDO will:

  • work alongside clubs providing support and guidance for the club to achieve its aspirations and goals; 
  • ensure clubs have access to training and development support for their members;
  • aid in the delivery of the regional events and membership development opportunities; 
  • act as an advocate for clubs;
  • plan and deliver to training pathways developed regionally and nationally

This full time position will be based in Auckland. The successful candidate will have relevant experience and qualifications relating to club development training and education processes, excellent communication skills and be passionate about, and committed to, making a positive difference.
