National Events Officer - Surf Life Saving Australia
We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic events administrator who has that can do attitude, is optimistic and eternally vigilant and who can provide strong operational support in the implementation of national events projects.
Reporting to the Events Manager this position will engage with members, staff and suppliers in delivering projects that efficiently and effectively support the preparation, planning, delivery and review of all national SLSA sporting events.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person who has experience of assisting with the planning and delivery of significant national events along with:
- Proven experience of coordinating the logistical requirements of events and functions such as travel, accommodation, venue logistics and data entry.
- Understanding and entry level experience of work health and safety, risk management and compliance requirements relating to delivering sporting events.
- Experience of working within a volunteer and/or sports administration not for profit environment.
- Demonstrated communication skills across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including high level attention to detail, together with negotiation and consultation skills.
This full time position is a 1 year fixed term contract and is based at Surf Life Saving Australia National Office in Rosebery, Sydney.

Digital Communications and PR Executive - Surf Life Saving Australia
Is the digital and social environment your happy place? We are looking for a digital and social communications & PR native to help us grow our communities and deliver our story across multiple platforms including our website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Google+.
You will coordinate our our digital and social content play, deliver best practice and educate our teams on how to maximise engagement. You are confident, enthusiastic and will hit the ground running, you will develop a good knowledge of the business through creating strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and you won’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. You thrive in a fast paced working environment and are able to prioritise and show a high level of detail at all times.
Whilst you thrive on digital and social you can navigate media announcements, launches, events, marketing campaigns and partner programs in the more traditional sense.
