Ryan Blenkinship
Mindil Beach SLSC, Northern Territory
Ryan placed first in beach flags, beach sprint, board and IronMan at the NT Surf Life Saving Championships. From his success, Ryan was awarded overall Opens Age Men’s Champion and has also competed at Aussies 2019 on the Gold Coast. Ryan loves seeing others do well and constantly encourages other athletes and builds confidence in them to succeed.

Jake Smith
Trigg Island SLSC, Western Australia
Jake represented Australia in the Men’s 4 x 50m obstacle relay and set a new world record. He achieved several medals at both the WA and SLSA Pool Rescue Championships and was a member of the Scarborough Sunsets that won the inaugural Super Surf Teams League. Jake’s skills and leadership capabilities saw him named captain of the Western Suns Pool Rescue team.

Phoebe Woodhouse
Burnie SLC, Tasmania
Phoebe was named the overall Champion for the Tasmania Surf League 2019/20. In addition, placed first at the Clifton Carnival as well as reaching finals at the Freshwater/Manly Carnival. Phoebe was selected as a mentor for the Hydrothon all female sport clinic held in Tasmania. Phoebe is a positive role model supporting junior members in water safety, as a mentor and overall ambassador for surf life saving.

Matthew Zuill
West Beach SLSC, South Australia
Matthew is one of the top athletes from South Australia, having achieved selection for State and the SA Reds team. Most recently he finished top 20 in the elite Coolangatta Gold 2019. Matthew is held in high accord and is a strong role model to all athletes at West Beach. Matthew was Area Captain and Coach and is well respected at the club.

James Koch
Shelly Beach SLSC, New South Wales
James achieved excellent results representing the Australian Lifesaving Team at both the German Cup and the Orange Cup held in the Netherlands. He continued his fantastic form with first placings at State Championships and at SLSA, New Zealand and NSW Pool Rescue Championships events. James is a great inspiration for younger athletes and always has a positive energy towards fellow athletes and the club.

Lana Rogers
Noosa Heads SLSC, Queensland
Lana had a phenomenal season placing first in the Nutri-Grain IronWoman Series including taking first place in the Coolangatta Gold. Lana is an extremely focused, determined athlete and role model, assisting with nipper sessions, sponsorship breakfasts and is always encouraging young athletes at the club. Lana continues to show support to her peers and the broader Lifesaving community.
