Beach Warrior is a mass-participation event to be held across the beaches of Australia.
With a range of challenging-yet-fun obstacles set over grass, sand and surf, Beach Warrior is designed to be fun and challenging for everyone over the age of 12.
Clubs and branches across Australia can organise their own Beach Warrior events as a way to raise funds and engage the local community.
Over a 4 km obstacle course, Beach Warrior will take participants through grass, sand and along the water’s edge. Competitors will get wet as they complete the 25 tough-but-fun obstacles, but there’s no swimming and no craft to paddle so anyone can participate.
Beach Warrior obstacles include the curiously-named Mega Cargo Climb, Hurdle Highway, Pyramid Alley, and the Inflatable Monster. A more complete list of obstacles can be found at www.beachwarrior.com.au
The very first Beach Warrior will be held on Saturday 12 October at Coolangatta Beach, between 1pm and 5pm, as a part of the Coolangatta Gold Festival.
