BRP and Surf Life Saving Australia mark nine year partnership milestone

  • BRP with its brands Can-Am Side-by-Side, Sea-Doo watercraft and Evinrude outboard engine, continue its partnership as Official Powercraft Supplier of SLSA
  • The partnership will provide funding and rescue powercraft to affiliated clubs and services across the country
  • BRP is the manufacturer of choice by those who you can depend on

Celebrating nine years of partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia – this renewal of the contract will see the partnership cross the decade mark and BRP reaffirming its commitment to help save lives along Australia’s vast coastline and shores. Since the inception of the partnership, BRP has provided more than AU$4 million worth of support.

Synonymous with safety, style and prestige, waters across the country are being kept safe with state of the art equipment supplied by one of the world’s leading powercraft manufacturers BRP.

“Surf Life Saving Australia is a unique not-for-profit community cause that exists through community donations, government funding, fundraising and corporate sponsorships from companies such as BRP,” said Melissa King, Chief Executive, Surf Life Saving Australia.

“We exist to save lives, create great Australians and build better communities”.

“BRP products are invaluable lifesaving tools. They enable surf lifesavers and lifeguards to move around the beach and water effectively. This means patrols and rescues can be performed with greater efficiency and faster response times to save lives along our coastline.”

Grégoire Dupont, Vice-President and Regional General Manager for BRP in the Asia Pacific region said, “As the largest volunteer movement of its kind in Australia, Surf Life Saving is an excellent organisation for BRP to support. Our products offer the best performance under demanding rescue conditions and are the most sensitive to the environment in the industry. This partnership again reinforces BRP’s commitment to support the community and we are proud to continue to work with Surf Life Saving to make Australian beaches even safer.”

BRP products are currently being used in over 250 clubs around Australia. This includes the Can-Am Defender HD8 DPS, the range of Sea-Doo personal watercraft, and Evinrude 25Hp Etec outboard engines.

With product innovations like Sea-Doo’s all new ST3 hull that provides industry leading stability & control, as well as the new snap-in LinQ accessories that allow the addition of a portable fuel caddy & additional storage, and with engine technology that produces fewer emissions than any other outboard, BRP products are best suited to the high standards SLSA expect.
