Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) is excited to announce that all the action from the Coolangatta Gold 2018 will be streamed live, free and direct to members, supporters and fans homes on the SLSA Facebook channel and on the big screen at the Festival zone at Coolangatta Beach on Sunday 7 October.
The live stream will kick-off from 07:15am (AEST) straight from Coolangatta Beach and will cover highlights from day one’s short course, all the action from the Youth Challenge, and minute to minute coverage of one of the world’s toughest endurance races.
“Surf Life Saving Australia is delighted to be able to deliver the Coolangatta Gold to the homes of so many of our members and sports fans this weekend both here in Australia and overseas,” SLSA CEO Adam Weir said.
“The Gold is one of surf’s most iconic surf races and I look forward to a great day of racing and plenty of action.”
Viewers are in for a great morning of action with Ali Day pursuing a historic sixth title amongst a fresh field of debutants.
While the women’s racing will be action packed with Australia’s top competitors including Georgie Miller, Allie Britton and Danielle Mackenzie. Jenifer Mullins and Maddy Dunn are all in hot pursuit of a maiden Coolangatta Gold title.
The live stream program will be hosted by three times Coolangatta Gold winner Courtney Hancock and 1996 Olympian, World Cup Champion and Australian Surf Champion, Jimmy Walker.
