These two iconic Australian organisations, whose history are a part of the fabric of this country and share a commitment to safety, have partnered to strive to keep all Australians safe on the road and at the beach.
Westpac has been proudly partnering with Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) for 45 years. In what is the longest corporate community partnership in Australia, Westpac supports the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service (WLRHS). The oldest civilian search and rescue service in Australia, WLRHS has performed more than 80,000 missions nationally and since its inception in 1973, no one has paid to be rescued. With a rescue fleet of 16 helicopters and 2 rescue boats across 13 bases nationally, the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service is a vital extension of SLSA’s front-line services. In 2018 Westpac extended their partnership with SLSA with 51 drones rolled out across Australian beaches nationally. The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Drones (WLSRD) program is Australia’s first comprehensive national approach to surf rescue using innovative drone technology, giving surf lifesavers more eyes in the sky at patrolled beaches around the country. Both the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service and the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Drones Program are vital extensions of SLSA’s frontline services.
Since 2009, BRP has been a proud National Partner of Surf Life Saving Australia, providing funding and rescue powercraft for affiliated clubs and services across the country. As the official powercraft supplier, BRP has delivered over $1 million worth of essential lifesaving equipment to over 160 Surf life Saving clubs. BRP products are powerful lifesaving tools and enable lifesavers to move around the beach and water quickly ensuring they are rescue ready and that performing rescues can be performed with greater efficiency.

The Australian Institute of Sport is a Government Partner of Surf Life Saving Australia. The National Coronial Information System (NCIS) is an internet based data storage and retrieval system for Australian and New Zealand Coronial cases. The NCIS provides a valuable hazard identification and death prevention tool for coroners, government and researchers by providing the ability to review previous coronial cases, enhancing their capability to identify and recommend activities to reduce systematic hazards within the community.
