President’s Update

Melissa King, Chief Executive, Surf Life Saving Australia has informed the SLSA Board that she will not be seeking a renewal of her contract which expires on 30 June 2018.

Melissa has been instrumental in the evolution of the organisation and in delivering key strategic projects. She has been responsible for developing and implementing new initiatives, alongside the SLSA Board, SLSA team, States and members, that will position the organisation and its members for the future and we thank her for her valuable contribution.

We are sad to see her go but support her desire to explore new opportunities. The SLSA Board will review its strategic direction and in due course seek to recruit a new chief executive officer.

Yours in surf lifesaving,

Graham Ford AM
