The core roles of the club vice president are to support the activities of the club president and to oversee the activities of committees.

  • To assume the responsibilities of the president in their absence.
  • To develop the terms of reference for all committees.
  • To coordinate the appointment of all committee chairs.
  • To oversee the activities of all committees.

No formal qualifications are required, however a sound knowledge of governance principles, a sound business acumen and a broad understanding of the Surf Life Saving movement would be helpful.
