Save the Date – SLSA National Awards of Excellence
Surf Life Saving Australia’s annual National Awards of Excellence are set to be held on Saturday, November 6 at the Gold Coast Turf Club, Queensland.
The annual award night recognises and celebrates the outstanding achievements and contributions of members in their clubs’ and community over the past year.
Awards will be presented across the categories of lifesaving, education, and sport with additional honours also awarded including SLSA Hall of Fame inductees and the prestigious Meritorious Awards, for outstanding and brave rescues.
Surf Life Saving Australia’s President John Baker ESM said this event is an opportunity for members to take the time to reflect and celebrate the efforts and achievements of all members across the country.
“The annual Awards of Excellence is a chance to bring the movement together to reflect and celebrate the outstanding efforts and achievements of surf lifesavers over the last 12 months,” said Baker ESM.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to watch the various State’s Awards of Excellence that have been held to date and hear the amazing contributions and stories from our members.
“I am incredibly proud of the quality of people that we are so fortunate to have involved our movement and we should all be excited about the 2021 Awards of Excellence, it is sure to be something special”.
The Surf Life Saving Australia annual awards of excellence presents awards across 13 different categories with finalists qualifying for the National awards by being nominated by their club and winning their award category at a state level.
